Dr. Frederick was the Principal Investigator of the MEPF study, a study designed to evaluate the efficacy of Misoprostol as an equal therapy to D&C for women experiencing early spontaneous abortions. The results of this study were published in The New England Journal of Medicine. Currently, Dr. Frederick serves as the Principal Investigator for the NICHD Fetal Growth Study which is obtaining clinical and ultrasound data on healthy U.S. singleton pregnancies in order to establish a standard reference for the growth and development of fetuses. In 2011, this data collection will be expanded to include twin pregnancies.
